On Saturday we hosted our 35th annual mini rugby festival and it was the biggest and best to date!
We welcomed almost 1500 people to our club and hosted 100 teams from 20 different clubs.
The event was formally started by Deputy Mayor for Antrim & Newtownabbey, Noreen McClelland who then went on a walkabout to meet some of the teams and spectators.
We also welcomed Ulster Prop, Jonny Simpson who signed shirts and grabbed some photos with the boys and girls.
There was a real festival atmosphere throughout the day with lots of other activities to keep everyone happy and entertained.
The standard of rugby was great and we would like to thank all our visiting teams for making the effort to join us and make the festival a success.
We would also like to thank our sponsors who kindly supported us and call out a special thanks to all the coaches and volunteers who gave their time not only on the day but also in the preparation and run up to the event. It wouldn’t have happened without you and we greatly appreciate the effort.
Well done everyone who took part!
