P7’s receive their tour shirts early!!

This year’s P7 players all received their tour shirts with a buzz of excitement last Saturday morning in the clubhouse.

IMG_8063-2It might seem a bit early as they don’t head off until next May but in what was an inspired idea, they have decided to play the coming season in their new tour shirts.

The boys, coaches and a few parents will travel to Minehead in Somerset to take part in the Leicester Tigers Mini Festival on the weekend of 4th-7th May ’18 on what will be a fantastic weekend of rugby and craic. The intention is to stay in Butlin’s of all places where there will be lots of activities for everyone to remain entertained when not enjoying the rugby.

The P7 tour is the culmination of 7 years of rugby, friendship, hard work and fun which passes all too quickly! It is a great opportunity for these kids and coaches, some of whom might never see each other again, to create lasting memories of a time spent together.

The touring committee have been hard at work organizing fund raising events, but they have also gained financial support from outside the club which is well received and appreciated. Some of the local businesses that have got behind the boys are-

  • Stephen Carlisle of Abbey Bond Lovis Insurance Brokers
  • Alan & Sinead McNally of Page Setup Design
  • Peter Geary of Antrim Hills Spring Water Company

On behalf of Ballyclare RFC mini’s i would like to say thank you to these companies

Good luck to the P7’s this season and keep a look out for them in their bright new shirts!
